In the middle of November Svilosa AD/Svilocell EAD restored its production activity.
The reasons for prolonged stay were lower than expected wood deliveries and the minimal wood inventory, insufficient for the operation in winter season.

From the midst of November the wood deliveries’ rhythm was restored. Currently Svilocell has wood inventory of more than 50 000 t that will allow the trouble-free operation during the winter season.

Pulp’s production has already surpassed 100 000 t which is a 47% growth in comparison with the period prior the crisis. This is the best result ever achieved by a company in the pulp and paper industry on the Balkans. Nevertheless the unforeseen 45 days stay the annual net profit will exceed 19 million BGN. The incomes will increase with 64% exceeding the amount of 105 million BGN.

It’s been expected two new main equipments to be brought on stream by the end of the year. They are the last stage of the many millions reconstruction of the main production capacities - Waste water treatment plant (WWTP) and Green co-generation turbine. The negotiations concerning duties restructuring with the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development and Nordic Investment Bank are going on.
